JUNE DANCE OPPORTUNITIES
Memorial Day weekend has come and gone and we are into the summer season here at the lake! LADA will not have any ballroom dances until
September. But there are still plenty of opportunities to dance around the lake this time of year - the Lake of the Ozarks Swing Club dances, West
Side Senior Center dances, Bill Mack and a host of bands continue through the summer months.
I am still having pain in my left leg so I am not dancing much yet. My doctor says it may just take time but I am anxious to be getting along better. I may
need to do a pain management shot – he seems to think this would help too. Hopefully this will continue to improve “soon”.
I usually publish this email about the first of each month. If you know of any dance opportunities, I would be happy to help promote them. Send me the
details prior to month-end to get included. Also, let me know if you no longer wish to receive this newsletter.
Friday, June 5th – The KRAZY KATS are coming back to Capital Ritz in Jefferson City! 8pm to 11:30pm. Open to the public. Tickets are $7.50 in
advance, $10 at the door. Come dance or listen to them play our favorite oldies rock & roll! Call 573-893-7787 for reservations. Dress is casual.
Sunday, June 7th – Lake Jazz Society presents Ragtime Pianos at Osage National Golf Course. 6:30 - 9:30 PM.
Tuesday, June 9th – Not Just for Seniors Dance at the West Side Senior Center on O Road in Laurie. 7:00-9:30 PM. $3 per person. Live music by
Hambo Latham. Bring a snack to share. Coffee, soft drinks and water. Call Marty Fiser at 573 374-7516 for more information.
Saturday, June 13th – Lake of the Ozarks Swing Dance Club “Flag Day Dance” at the Camden County Museum in Linn Creek. Wear your red, white
and blue. Lesson 7 PM. Dance 8-11 PM. Lesson costs $3 for members, $5 for non-members; Dance is $5 for members; $8 for non-members. Also
bring a snack to share.

January 29-February 8, 2020 – 5th Annual Swing Dance Cruise to the Panama Canal and other stops. 10 day cruise. Rates recently reduced. Rates
vary by room selection. We had 6 couples from the Lake of the Ozarks Swing Dance Club on last year’s cruise. It would be great to have more go this
